Community Day

Vanessa S-J Goings-On at Kernow, News

Thanks to all the people who popped up to our stall at the Annual Prospect Community Day markets.  It was good to be able to talk to many of you and explain a bit more about what we are doing at Kernow along with our plans for the lake and the accommodation.

If anyone is  interested in viewing the lake site please do call ahead and arrange a time for a visit so that we can explain the details and show you where it will be.   We can be contacted on 0447 557 200.

Our Artwork Has Arrived

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

We were thrilled to unpack our artwork delivery this week.  We spent a couple of days in China in an artists’ village where the artists can be seen reproducing the more popular works of artists such as Van Gogh, Monet and Picasso, as well as creating more modern works of their own.

We will be holding an open evening over the coming weeks for anyone interested in seeing all the artwork before it is placed into our apartments.  Anyone wishing to be reminded of the event can email

Furniture On the Way!

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

Our custom-made furniture will be arriving late September and with everything else being completed by then we are on track to open in Early October.  We are looking forward to welcoming visitors and guests alike.

Thank You!

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

Thank you to all those who braved such hot weather to come and view the apartments in Phase One of Kernow.  It was great to see such a good turnout and really good to hear such positive comments.

This type of investment property is new to Charters Towers but we believe that owners will see a good return over time especially once future development plans get underway.  With the uniqueness of the development as a whole and because the apartments are different to what is currently available, we hope to see a good level of short-stay visitors who are interested in staying somewhere for the novelty factor.  Even if owning an apartment here is not your cup of tea, we do hope you will consider us for your friends, family and business colleagues when visiting The Towers.

We also were pleased to have our ideas of more purpose-built retirement housing reinforced as we have always believed that Charters Towers is perfect for retirees.  We will keep you posted on the progress of Phase Two!

Anyone who was unable to visit at the weekend but would still like to see the apartments, please call on 0447 557 200 to arrange a viewing.

Open Day – Disability Access Notes

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

Please note that there are no apartments in Phase One which are accessible by wheelchair although access to the pool area is possible.

We will be building purpose-built disability units in future stages of the development, but with the structure of the old building it was not feasible to make rooms the correct size or obtain the proper gradients for ramps.

We are looking forward to being able to provide new and well-designed apartments which are wheelchair-friendly.  Our apologies to those who this might affect in the short term.

Open Days- 20/21 February 2016

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

You are welcome to pop down and view our apartments on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st February between 11 and 4.30pm. We look forward to seeing you.

We have one Show Flat (Apartment 10) and you will be able to pick up a brochure with the information on the development.

Please see separate note on wheelchair access.

Progress Update Sept 2015

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

Sitting round the pool at sundown is now a very pleasant experience, especially sitting amidst lovely green lawns, palms strewn with lights, and our quirky pool bar.  The going has been slow but we are pleased with the result and there isn’t much to do now in order to get the units signed off.

Anyone wishing to view the apartments should contact Matthew Geaney (0418 777 817).

Progress Update Apr 2015

Vanessa S-J News, Progress Updates

All the units have now been painted both inside and out, with finishing touches and detailing now being carried out.  The units look inviting, fresh and elegant, with beautiful polished floors.

Internal and external lighting are in the process of being installed, and the landscaping is underway with paths and car ports almost done.  We shall soon be putting in the plants to give the gardens and homely and welcoming outlook.

It has been difficult to show pictures which don’t include something that is unfinished, but progress over the last few weeks has been encouraging so we look forward to uploading better photos without dangling wires, mud or unpainted surfaces!
